OUR BEES

Honey bees are one of the most important pollinators of our planet. We care for our bees with the utmost attention. Providing protected apiaries with current trending and long lasting - proven techniques to give the bees the best chance of survival.

We have several varieties of Apis Mellifera which are hardy to our climate.

We work hard to keep our colonies healthy and productive.

PHILOSOPHY

We are dedicated to bettering the planet through each honey bee, each colony, each hive, each and every day of the year. Learning and providing conditions that can benefit the honey bees is of the utmost importance to us. We continue to learn, we want to educate and show the importance of honey bees on our planet to everyone.

This site is a work in progress-- Hoping my experience can help you learn beekeeping.

Apiary

HIVES

We are trying different techniques with new style bee hives and we are following traditional paths of the long proven wood Langstroth bee hives.

While the honey bees have survived for a long time-it is our goal to take all that we have learned to provide a better chance of survival for them. Increased awareness and putting some new ideas into our hives will help the honey bee population.

Swarms are not dangerous-this is simply the queen leaving her current hive and taking about half of the hive with her. This is how honey bees survive and keep there populations high.

PROTECTION

Predators and other pests can be devastating to the honey bees. Bears and other animals love bee hives. Honey bees can be looked at as a tasty snack to some of our wild animals. Some are easier to keep away than others.

Pests such as hive beetles, varroa mites, wax moths, ants, hornets, and mice. They focus on bee hives also. We protect our honey bees and give them a fighting chance.
